267,000 GALLON SPILL LARGEST NORTH SLOPE YET

BP's "GREEN" BRANDING INITIATIVE IS JUST A MARKETING EXERCISE
In 2006, oil giant BP was fined more than $60m after breaching environmental regulations in the US leading to the death of 15 people. An estimated 270,00 gallons of oil were spilled from a BP-operated pipeline at Prudhoe Bay on Alaska's North Slope. Alaska State conversation officials say this is the largest oil spill in the North Slope's history. Because the spill appeared to be the results of a ruptured pipe, the EPA conducted criminal investigation into BP PLC’s management of pipelines in Alaska’s North Slope.

These are the people that Congress is going allow to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
